Illovo Rwanda recently conducted trade and consumer activations to increase brand awareness and boost sales of its 1kg pre-pack product. These activations were held in different locations in Kigali from March 10th to March 30th, 2023.
The consumer activation aimed to engage customers and create a positive brand image. It was successful in attracting a significant number of visitors who were interested in learning more about the brand and its products. The provision of coffee and tea allowed the customers to test the sugar, and they were satisfied with the taste. The activation also included a social media follow-up mechanism that helped increase Illovo’s online presence.
On the other hand, the trade activation program aimed to penetrate the market and increase sales of the 1kg pre-pack product. The program covered various locations throughout the city and surrounding areas and generated 924 orders, representing an 83.2% target achievement rate. However, only 57.4% of the orders were fulfilled due to several challenges encountered during the program. Nevertheless, the program was still successful in building a sales funnel for distribution and wholesalers of Illovo’s products.
Overall, Illovo Rwanda’s trade and consumer activations were successful in achieving their primary goals. These activations helped increase brand awareness, boost sales, and build a sales funnel for distribution and wholesalers. With these successes, Illovo Rwanda is poised for further growth and expansion in the market.
